The hub is made of a cast iron case.It generally connects the three blade rotationalassembly to a linear low speed shaft, which connectsto the turbine's gearbox.Most modern turbine hubs contain a pitch systemto adjust the angle of the blades by rotation of abearing at the root of each blade, to control powerand slow the rotor as required.
