QUICK-T-LOCK is a 3-cutting-edged positive insert designed for lateral and profiling turning. The bottom insert is specifically designed with a safe lock mechanism that enables multi-directional turning machining. The safe lock clamping allows cutting on both sides of the insert, based on its V-shaped ribs and tool grooves.
The QUICK-T-LOCK insert is also designed for lateral and face high feed turning. The bottom insert is designed for safe locking and multi-directional turning applications. It features efficient internal coolant directed to the cutting edges. The insert is symmetrically positioned in the QUICK-T-LOCK holder, allowing for high feed lateral back and face turning with a chip thinning angle of 15°.
Additionally, there are new Y-axis QUICK-T-LOCK holders available that can withstand high cutting forces without vibration. In comparison, the X-axis experiences cutting forces that tend to bend the tool holder, while the Y-axis forces are applied on the tool holder axis direction, providing high stability.
The lead angle can be altered to the most effective position, enabling versatile insert options. With one QUICK-T-LOCK tool, it is possible to replace several tools.
